Success Stories

Molly Peach, Headteacher

Alvaston Infant School

The coaching sessions with Tamara have given me the much needed headspace for me to reflect and move forward with my leadership journey, whilst being certain I am being ‘true’ to myself and my core values. Tamara does the deepest kind of listening and will prompt and probe and this has encouraged me to find the solutions for myself. It is so clear to see she understands the role of a headteacher and can relate to the challenges that I may face. I feel her sessions have given me real clarity on how I lead, what is important to me and what I need to be aware of/do next. In addition, the sessions have supported me and my wellbeing – I have had dedicated time to talk, I know I am heard and after the sessions, I feel I have more headspace and direction – almost as if I am re-energised! I have made many positive changes including resetting my own work-life balance!

Through coaching, Tamara has supported our wider staff team and the impact has been significant. Staff who have been afforded this opportunity have been incredibly grateful of the investment in their leadership and identity. They talk positively about how it has helped them understand themselves better and how it has helped ‘move their thinking on’. In my opinion, this has been the best form of CPD, as it brings about lasting changes to individuals which in turn benefits the whole team and our beautiful children and families.  As a result of the coaching, staff are more confident in their approaches and thrive in work, they are the best versions of themselves, they feel valued and invested in – and so they should, after all, the work place is only ever as good as the staff who work there

Ed Hewes, Early Years Leader (Trust Lead)

Beeston Fields Primary School

One to one coaching

Being new to senior leadership, Tamara helped me lean into the challenges of my deployment to turn around a Requires Improvement Early Years education setting. She encouraged me to think differently and embrace creative solutions, enabling sustained yet rapid change to the systems and processes in my department. Towards the end of our coaching block, it was incredibly rewarding to receive external validation from Ofsted in May 2025, who confirmed our school as Outstanding in all areas — with Early Years moving from Requires Improvement to Outstanding, a rare double jump in judgement. My thanks go to Tamara for helping me dig deep and uncover the hidden strengths within myself and my team. Having only been teaching for six years, the support of My Delta has been invaluable in accelerating both my leadership and the progress of our setting.

Team Coaching

Tamara from My Delta has also been instrumental in strengthening our approach to supporting children's Executive Functioning in the Early Years. Her team coaching enabled us to embed practical strategies for children while also helping us overcome challenges and grow together as a staff team. The team DISC profiling she facilitated was especially insightful and accurate, giving us a much clearer understanding of ourselves and each other. This work has left us more cohesive, reflective, and better equipped to collaborate effectively; a transformation that directly contributed to Ofsted’s confirmation of Outstanding in all areas and the Early Years’ remarkable two-grade improvement.

Our SLT coaching sessions with Tamara have been fantastic and enlightening. Using DISC profiling has allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the others in my team and realise why they act in the way that they do. It is allowing us to develop roles amongst ourselves as we work towards a shared goal.

On a personal level, it has helped me to grow so much as a person. I was initially reticent towards the idea of coaching and pushing myself out of my comfort zone but the sessions have led me to find a new appreciation and passion towards coaching and self-help. Tamara is approachable and encouraging and challenges me to think about things in a different way. I am now a true coaching convert and would recommend that everyone gives it a try.

I feel like I have a much deeper understanding of myself now and more confidence in what I can achieve.

From the initial session when Tamara unpicked my answers to the questionnaire, and throughout the following sessions, she has helped me reflect and formulate key actions. The way Tamara posed questions, and gave me time to consider my answers, supported my thought processes and I was able to look at situations from a different perspective. Tamara’s coaching approach helped me organise my thoughts and evaluate the best actions to move forward.

Tamara was motivating; she encouraged me to reflect and build on my successes. I left each session feeling enthused and with a determination to achieve my goals.

Overall, I found all the sessions extremely beneficial and impactful. As a result of the sessions, I feel empowered to continue to drive forward the progress that has been made, and I thank Tamara for helping me make this a reality!

Tamara’s coaching sessions have been truly invaluable. Having an experienced school senior leader listen, guide, and prompt my thinking has provided the space I needed as a headteacher to step back, refresh my goals, and refine the direction of the school. This dedicated time for reflection has not only supported my own professional growth but has also had a positive impact on the wider leadership team.

One of my key takeaways has been recognising the strengths within my team and how we complement each other. Tamara’s ability to listen deeply, ask thought-provoking questions and create an environment that encourages new ways of thinking has been incredibly beneficial. I highly recommend her coaching to any school leader looking for clarity, growth, and meaningful professional development.

The school leaders who have had the opportunity to work with Tamara have truly appreciated the investment in their development and the protected time to reflect, refine their roles, and consider their impact in our school. After navigating an OFSTED inspection and significant changes over the past two years, this coaching has provided much-needed space for personal and professional growth.

Supporting the senior leadership team in this way has been a deliberate choice to reinforce that well-being, continuous development, and leadership growth are so important as we continue to reach for success at WPS! I am hopeful that this experience has demonstrated my commitment to investing in our leaders, ensuring they feel valued, supported, and empowered in their roles. Thanks to Tamara for her time, energy and for having such a positive impact on our team!

Tamara from My Delta has worked with a range of leaders in our school. She created a safe environment to allow open discourse and an opportunity not to just look at our own communication styles and perceptions but also to identify how we all react to each other’s words and actions. By incorporating our new understanding, our teams have been able to lead their teams more productively and harmoniously.

Highly recommend Tamara, the team coaching sessions were open and honest, and everyone felt supported by her to share their thoughts. Working with Tamara opened new avenues of teamwork with all our staff from our catering team to SLT.
